Jay is a retired physician who served his community for 31 years. Along the way he has been a precinct captain and a pilot.

These days he spends his time with his dog, family, and friends. He volunteers in his free time and is an avid woodworker. A fourth-generation Iowan, he is a deeply devoted citizen.

Peter is a filmmaker, writer, and founder of Iowans for Decency. Most recently, he has embarked on his What’s Eating Iowans tour, heading around the state to listen to Iowans tell their stories in the heartland of America.

As a native Iowan, Wendy grew up in West Des Moines and graduated from the University of Iowa with degrees in Political Science and History. An MBA would follow. Wendy spent 40 years working in Human Resources for companies including Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, MCI WorldCom, Airbus, and Spirit AeroSystems (Boeing).

Now retired, Wendy spends time caring for family, reading and reviewing books, gardening, and actively supporting efforts that advocate for decent Americans. She's looking forward to traveling in the near future.

David is an experienced business leader, nonprofit advisor, and community advocate dedicated to expanding economic opportunity and grassroots civic engagement. With a background managing complex organizations and leading community-based initiatives, he brings practical leadership to local organizing efforts. Passionate about sustainable community development and small business mentorship, he empowers local voices and builds resilient civic networks. David is proud to support Hallways in strengthening democratic engagement and fostering meaningful community connections across Iowa.
